Downloading UDISE Data

U-DISE is one of the major initiatives to improve educational management information system in India which is under implementation in all the districts (664) of the country. More than 1.50 million schools imparting elementary & secondary education have been covered under U-DISE which also maintains comprehensive profile of more than 7.2 million teachers. As a part of dissemination policy, NIEPA/NUEPA used to publish a set of 15 publications in a year most of which are presented in this section of the website during the period 2005-06 to 2015-16. For unit-wide U-DISE raw data users may like to visit School Report Cards.

From the year 2018-19, users may like to visit U-DISE+ for downloading of select data. Before downloading of U-DISE+ data, users may also like to have a look at Data Sharing Policy of U-DISE which has many restrictions. General feeling is that raw data now under U-DISE+ is not so easily available as the same was earlier available under U-DISE maintained by NIEPA. U-DISE used to allow users downloading of complete data except the personal information and contact details of schools and teachers.
