Prof. Mona Khare

Recent Publications of Prof. Mona Khare on Higher Education, Professor & Head of Education Finance Department, NIEPA, New Delhi

M.A. and Ph.D.(Economics) with specialization in Regional Planning and Economic Growth and PGDM in Financial Management, she has a brilliant academic record of being a topper throughout including Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission examinations for collegiate services,1993 , UGC-NET qualified in 1990. An invited speaker in various international education forums like Commonwealth, UNESCO, SAARC, British Council etc; is member of various GOI Committees, holds advisory position in different committees of Universities and colleges, advisor UPSC and acts as resource person in training programmes for Central , State Govt. Officers, banking and teaching professionals across the country.

She has twice been conferred with the YOUNG ECONOMIST AWARD by the Indian Economic Association and has been awarded ‘Prashasti Patra’ by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh for praiseworthy contribution in their Distance Education Programme (EDUSAT). She was member of the Drafting Committee of post secondary forum for providing inputs for the next MDGs in the recently held Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers in Mauritius.

She has many publications to her credit in journals, books and magazines of national and international repute, authored book and has been on the editorial board of international and national journals, Fellow, International Congress of Environmental Research, Vice President of M.P. Economic Association and Associate Editor of the Indian Economic Journal.

With more than 20 years of teaching training and research experience, she has travelled widely both nationally and internationally including Harvard University, Singapore university, Mauritius University, London, Thailand, Philippines etc. and premier institutions in the country like Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, National Institute of Industrial engineering, Mumbai, ISRO, Ahmadabad to name a few. Her current areas of research include employability skills of educated youth, educational internationalization and regional disparities in educational development.

Prof. Khare has been conducted national and international programmes concerning higher education in general and financing of higher education in India in particular and has also been active in teaching Ph.D and research programmes at NIEPA, New Delhi. In addition, she has also guided number of research scholars perusing M.Phil and PhD degree.

She is a wonderful singer and has conducted number of charity programmes.
