State-wise School Education Dashboards & Infographics of India
Published on 12th February 2026 at https://educationforallinindia.com
Introduction
The school education system of India is marked by significant diversity across States and Union Territories in terms of enrolment patterns, infrastructure availability, teacher deployment, and student progression. Understanding these variations is essential for informed planning, monitoring, and policy formulation. While national aggregates provide an overall picture, state-level analysis is crucial for identifying region-specific strengths, challenges, and priorities.
In this context, Education for All in India has developed a comprehensive State-wise School Education Dashboard for India, primarily drawing on data from the Unified District Information System for Education Plus (UDISE+). The dashboards bring together key indicators of school education in a structured, comparable format, enabling both cross-state comparisons and longitudinal analysis over time.
This Hub Page serves as a central access point to all State and Union Territory dashboards hosted on this website. It provides an All-India overview to set the national context, followed by direct links to individual state dashboards that offer more detailed insights. Together, these resources are intended to support academic research, administrative review, policy dialogue, and informed public discussion on the status and progress of school education in India.
Note: Every care is taken to create Infographics, Dashboards and Slideshows, but errors may occur; users are advised to verify the data used from official sources.

Universal school education under NEP 2020 is achievable at the national level, as near-universal access at the elementary stage has largely been attained. However, persistent challenges in secondary-level retention, dropout after Grade 8 and Grade 10, and uneven learning outcomes across States and UTs remain the critical bottlenecks. Sustained focus on transition, retention, and learning quality, especially in socio-economically weaker regions, will determine whether universal schooling translates into universal completion with meaningful learning and can be achieved by 2030? |
